My family would walk in and find him cowering on the floor making that face before they even knew that he had stolen an entire steak off the kitchen counter….  It was pretty hilarious.

My dog’s living the dream right now.

I was looking for pictures to show my little sister what a basset hound looks like, stumbled across this one, and couldn’t not share it.

My dog, Cody, died today.

She was only 9, and I’m pretty sure this wouldn’t have happened if her owners before my family had taken better care of her.

Here’s my message to the world:  If you have pets, commit to taking care of them.  Train them well, take them to the vet regularly, and ensure that they are healthy as possible throughout their life.  If you want to be an idiot, destroy your health, and not take care of your own self in any way, fine, that’s your choice.  Animals don’t have a choice, and it makes me really angry when their lives are destroyed because their owner couldn’t get their act together and take care of them.  If you can’t afford it, or you’re in a situation where it is too difficult to take decent care of an animal, have enough pride to put that animal in a situation where they can be happy and healthy. 

I found my dogs like this earlier today.

Just like when they were puppies.  :)

Holy crap.

I need to get me one of these dogs.

This is always a good one.

I think I’ll go ahead and say that I think dogs have more of a soul than a lot of people do. 

I also like dogs more than I like a lot of people.

This makes me feel like a horrible dog owner.
